Resumen
The objective of this study is to describe the conceptions about
the nature of science of 6 chemistry teachers working in private,
subsidized, and municipalized schools in the province of
Concepción - Chile, who have participated in a series of teacher
training and reflection workshops. The data were collected from
a Likert-type questionnaire designed to determine the teachers'
image of science. The results show a significant change with
respect to their epistemological thinking at the beginning of the
workshops, and that together with a metadisciplinary and
reflective training, have caused a resignification on the
conceptions about the nature of science.
